OnePlus has announced a new challenge on its forums allowing its fans to design a new feature for OxygenOS. Product Designers get ready for some real fun! (#PMChallenge)
It seems that this year MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2019 at Barcelona, Spain is going to be much more exciting with leading brands like Nokia, LG, Huawei, Moto, etc and also launching of Samsung Galaxy S10 will happen at the gathering.
One Plus is now added on the list in these events and is also going to participate in the MWC 2019 event. As similar the OnePlus slogan “Never Settle” it always comes with something new for its critics & fans.
OnePlus has announced the crowdsource challenge for its new OxygenOS feature. This is the first time that ever company has taken this initiative. Since OnePlus is community based driven company who aims to provides the best user experience in the same way similar to what Dotnik Studio provides. Those who are familiar with the Shark Tank show will grab these things quickly. If you ever felt any features which should be in the Oxygen OS then this is the ideal opportunity for you to prove.
“Shark Tank is an American reality show which highlights the aspiring entrepreneurs around the world and pitches their business models and ideas in front of the investor’s panel and persuades them to invest capital in their ideas.”
There is a certain parameter of criteria which are compulsory to fulfill to win the race. The questions are:
- Who are the users of the features?
- What is the function proposed?
- How it is superior if a comparable function is available in the other smartphones.
- Its contribution to the user experience
- How phone OS will interact with the feature.
- Does the current flow or trends affect the user journey due to it?
Be sure to:
-Explain the logic behind this product and how you want it to be implemented
-Include directions and details via diagram sketches. Draw each screen and show the flow from screen to screen. (See the design principles post if you’d like an example.)
The winning feature will be announced in the mid-March and the winners will be given the VIP treatment to attend the upcoming launch event of the OnePlus with a free phone with the suggested feature exclusively inbuilt.
